The Time Machine

The critic of the play “The Time Machine”

First, costumes were great; spending Nic and Laurie could use more than one color in their clothes. The scenes were fine, it could have been better adding little things in 3D: not only images in the background, something to make feel like if you were in the same place as the actors. The music was great, I liked, the message of the songs was noble because it invite you to save your planet and to be a good person.

         Next, lights were excellent very colorful. The plot should be shorter and with fewer details: we can know what the entire story is about except the end reading it.

         Characters were perfect: the expressions, they spook loud, all of that was very well done. The level of English was the same as ours. The best actor was the one who plays the professor and Li Tao Ming. Humor was the final touch. It seems a little bit silly when Bertha appears with the chicken; they could change that if they want make 50-year-old people enjoy it like a child of 7 years old.
 

         The script

Emma and Jenny are two students in a scientific school in New York. For their holidays, they go to Italy to visit a village near Rome.

-                   - Hello, I’m Benedetta. I’ll guide you in this village.

-                    - Hi, we are Jenny and Emma. We are American.

-                - I have a question: what happened with this city?

-               - Look! Can you see this mountain? It’s a volcano. In the year 1022, it exploded and all everybody in the village were dead. But the legend says only one survivor.

-               - Oh, it’s terrible!

Next day, in the hostel:

-               - Emma, we can save this people.

-                  - How? What can we do?

-                  - We can construct a Time Machine in our laboratory.

-                 - Yes! And then travel to the past to save them!

-                 - Great! It’s a very good idea!

-                 - Just do it!

In the lab, one month later:

-                 - Yes! We finish the Time Machine!

-                 - Now we can travel to the past!

-                - To save the Indian!

-                - Let’s go!

(They enter into the Time Machine)

There is an Indian dancing:

-                - What’s your name?

-                - My name is Lula.

-                - My name is Jenny and she’s Emma.

-                - Your village is in danger.

-                - Why?

-                - This mountain is a volcano. It will explode.

-                - No, this is a magic mountain. We have energy with it. I don’t believe you.

-                - ………….. we are from the future, and we saw your city destroyed.

-                -  It isn’t true!

-                - We have to travel to our time.

-                - Yes, and take a photo of their village.

-                - Let’s go! Good idea!

(They enter into the Time Machine)

-             - With my IPhone we can take a photo!

-                - Good!

(They enter into the Time Machine)

-               -  Lula!!! Lula!!!!!

-                - Here I am.

-                - Look at this photo!

-                - Oh, is it my village?

-                - Yes, it is. But in our time.

-                - Oh…so, let’s go! We have to run!

-                -Yes, but prevent the other people.

-                -Yes, we’ll run. Now let’s go to your country relax.

- OK
